How to tell whether a VPS provider is trustworthy
Start with the domain registration date. Providers that disappear overwhelmingly do so within two years, and every provider here carries an automatic years-in-service figure. Then look at payment methods: a provider taking PayPal or a credit card leaves you a chargeback route if something goes wrong, while crypto-only checkout leaves you none. Last, check whether the refund policy is written down at all — and pay monthly for the first month before committing to a year.
Where the data comes from
Years in service comes from the RDAP registration record of the domain, looked up automatically when a provider is added — it is not typed in by hand. Payment methods and refund policies are checked against each provider own site before they go in.
