Hong Kong VPS is one of the most popular choices for users in China, but the most common trap isn't specs — it's the network route: two machines in the same "Hong Kong datacenter" can differ by 100ms or more in evening-peak latency between CN2 GIA and ordinary international transit.
To keep it simple, I've sorted the Hong Kong lines currently in stock on this site into three tiers: CN2 GIA for the lowest latency, China-optimized for the best value, and residential/NAT for the cheapest. Prices and stock are live data from this site as of October 13, 2026 — check the live data before ordering.
CN2 GIA: Expensive, but the Lowest Latency
CN2 GIA is China Telecom's highest-priority return route to China, and all three carriers (China Telecom / China Unicom / China Mobile) generally stay stable at 30–60ms during evening peaks. For websites, remote work, or anything latency-sensitive, you can hardly go wrong with it. It has just one downside: price.
ZoroCloud (CNY billing): the hk-cn2gia lineup is fully in stock — the entry HK-CN2GIA-Plus at ¥49/month (1 vCPU / 1GB RAM / 10Mbps / 200GB traffic); Pro ¥59/month; Max ¥168/month; Ultra ¥348/month; top-tier Elite ¥648/month (8 vCPU / 16GB RAM). Verdict: honestly, ZoroCloud is the only one in this tier with real prices, so it's the only option here. The good news: the tier ladder is complete, you pay in CNY with no currency conversion, and the ¥49/month entry tier is a good way to test the waters before upgrading.
China-Optimized: The Choice for Most People
China-optimized routes use BGP / optimized routing to serve all three carriers, with latency a notch above GIA but prices often half of GIA or less. My take: if your budget is limited but you still want a good experience, this tier is where most people end up.
RFCHost (USD billing): the hk-china-optimization lineup is fully in stock — Mini from $24.99/month (1 vCPU / 1GB RAM / 200Mbps / 1.5TB traffic), Standard $50.99, Advanced $76.99, Plus $102.99, Pro $167.99, Max $336.99/month. Verdict: the bandwidth is genuinely generous — 200Mbps and 1.5TB traffic from the entry tier, a no-brainer for bandwidth-hungry apps. The downside: $24.99/month entry isn't exactly cheap among these three tiers.
ZgoCloud (USD billing): the hongkong-amd lineup is fully in stock — Starter $66/year (about $5.50/month, 1 vCPU / 1GB RAM), Standard $32/quarter, Pro $45/quarter, Premium $58/quarter. Verdict: at $5.50/month effective, it's the lowest entry point for a CN2-class experience among these three tiers. If you'd rather not lock in $66 for a year, think it over first.
VMISS (USD billing; official prices are in CAD, converted here at 0.70): the cn-hk-bgp lineup — Elite $21/month and Ultra $42/month in stock; Pro, Core, and Basic currently sold out. Verdict: the BGP route has a solid reputation, but the lower tiers are often out of stock, and right now only Elite and Ultra are available. If you're on a tight budget and set on VMISS, don't hesitate when you see stock.
Residential/NAT: Cheap, but With Catches
This tier is all about cheap: residential IPs suit scenarios that need native residential IPs (account operations, streaming unblocking), while NAT VPS pushes prices into single digits. Fair warning up front: NAT plans share one IPv4, so skip them for websites or anything needing dedicated ports.
TapHip (CNY billing): hgc line HGC-A ¥8.88/month (2 vCPU / 512MB RAM); hkt line HKT-G ¥21.6/month; hk-bgp line Nova ¥8.88/month, Alpha ¥21.6/month (2 vCPU / 2GB RAM); hinet line from ¥15/month. Verdict: four Hong Kong local-carrier lines to pick from, with strong residential attributes on HGC and HKT, and the ¥8.88 entry price is among the cheapest in this whole article. The hinet line only has a starting price with no detailed specs, so don't expect too much from it.
喵云 Miaomiao (CNY billing, monthly): hk-hgc-nat Nano from ¥6.6/month; hk-hkt-nat Nano from ¥8.8/month; hk-hkbn-nat Nano from ¥9.9/month; hk-hkidc Nano from ¥19.9/month (exact specs per live data on this site). Verdict: from ¥6.6, the lowest price in the whole article, and monthly billing means zero pressure to commit. Best for testing line quality — switch if it doesn't work out.
ZoroCloud (CNY billing): hk-bgp-home lineup Plus from ¥8/month (1 vCPU / 1GB RAM / 100Mbps). Verdict: residential attributes with a dedicated (non-NAT) configuration — at ¥8, very competitive among true residential options.
How to Choose: Match by Need
For latency, go tier one: ZoroCloud CN2 GIA. For value, go tier two: ZgoCloud's $66/year plan or RFCHost's big-traffic plans. For cheap or residential IPs, go tier three: Miaomiao from ¥6.6, TapHip, or ZoroCloud residential.
Two reminders: VMISS's lower tiers sell out often — if Elite/Ultra is in stock, don't wait. All prices are live data from this site as of writing; stock and promos change fast, so check the live data before ordering.
